Cryptography Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for software developers, mathematicians and others interested in cryptography. It's 100% free, no registration required.

My daughter has been playing on the NSA's web page called CryptoKids but I was wondering if there is anything else out there that is may be more challenging to a nine year old.

Books are good, obviously but it would rather she uses something online. Do you have any suggestions?

Open-ended questions (eg, "Please give recommendations on X") don't really fit the format for this Q/A community. Another community (example) might be a better fit. – B-Con May 21 '12 at 1:22

The best cryptography website I've ever seen (excluding this one, of course ;-) is a website created by a brilliant cryptographer named Terry Ritter www.ciphersbyritter.com. It's the most comprehensive collection of cryptographic and related information I've ever seen, especially for beginners. The advanced researcher will find it a valuable resource as well. I hope you and your children will have as much fun reading it as I have. I'm assuming of course that you are really serious about teaching your child the basics of cryptography .
