Why must IV/key-pairs not be reused in CTR mode? For anyone else landing here later on, this link (from this question ) probably explains it best. Thanks for the hint about the "two-time pad" Paŭlo Ebermann and poncho! |

Why was ISO10126 Padding Withdrawn? Thank you for your reply. What do you mean by 'The rationale .. is dubious at best'? Does it have any drawbacks compared to PKCS5? |
