I'm a hobbyist programmer, part-time sysadmin, and full-time data center automation consulting engineer.

I have experience with myriad editors, shells, and OSes. And, while I'm an ardent emacs user, am pretty much beyond the religious wars of "what's best" when it comes to platform, editor, or toolset: if it works for the problem at hand, and you know it, it's [probably] worthwhile :)

@fgrieu - I more looked at it as a general coverage with reasonable resources as to how attacks are being carried out from a hardware perspective .. not that it's necessarily directly-related to RSA :)

also a consideration - factoring is being done more and more on GPU rather than CPU systems, which offer higher parallelization and shorter crack times (at least on symmetric systems)
