comment Security of (cryptographic) padding compared to other methods for blockcompletion for block ciphers
One last question regarding to your MAC scheme. If I understood it right, the MAC authentication should prefent oracle attacks. But in what way this works? I found no good information source on that. So it would be very nice if you could short say, who the authentication prevents a oracle padding attack?

I hope I have understood it right now. So you mean, if I verify that the encrypted message has not been modified, a padding oracle can be avoided? What kind of MAC can be used here? A hash like SHA-512 or better CBC?

Your solution seems interesting. Could you please provide some information who this helps preventing a padding oracle attack?

comment Is there an advantage to storing keys split between several hashes?
The problem with the wrong key is, that I copy the encrpyted file and decrypt it in the original file, so that if the key was wrong, the data was lost, but your idea with testing if encryptions works with a short value. Is there any good suggestion what can be taken for such a thing (I mean what value, a dynamic and how to create it)?
