comment Is there an intuitive explanation as to why only the private key can decrypt a message encrypted with the public key?
"Where $a$ and $b$ are the public and the private key" implies that $a$ is the public key and $b$ is the private key. But I believe it's the other way, so that it should read "Where $a$ and $b$ are the private and the public key".
