I've been trying to decode the following sentence for a few days:

Humankind's greatest invention “tlvtl://xnw.rn/5RcQs4U”

I tried using the Vigenere cipher, Beaufort Cipher with no success. The key's that I tried were also taken from googling "humankind's greatest invention". The only thing that worked was the Jefferson Wheel cipher, however that let me to the wrong URL (https://ibb.co/qxdF9w8). I have strong concerns that the encrypted link is as well an ibb.co one.

Any ideas would be welcome!

  • $\begingroup$ that's probably the correct URL as there's 42 bits of entropy in ibb codes, meaning it would be relatively unlikely that a correct link was randomly decrypted. $\endgroup$

  • $\begingroup$ Agree, however, also since that link points to a gun, I hope that you don't mind that I close it. $\endgroup$
