As the title suggests, is there a way to have an E2EE chat between two users, and have them be visible later by an admin user.
I know this defeats the point of E2EE, but i want to have the messages encrypted in transit and stored encrypted in the database. But then decrypted in the front end later if needed by an admin user for whatever reason.
I was thinking asymmetric encryption with public/private keys between the 2 users, and then from this generate some kind of key that is used for the encrypt/decrypt of messages. Then storing this key in the db where only the admin and the 2 users has access.
I see this could be a problem as I would need to send this key from the front end to the back end. And we wouldn't want anyone intercepting this key.
I mean this would still limit the amount of people who can see the messages right?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
